The root chakra (known as Muladhara in Sanskrit) is the first chakra, and considered the foundation of all other chakras. It is located at the base of the spine, and is associated with the color red, the element of Earth and the planets Earth (Mother Gaia) and Saturn, and the astrological sign of Capricorn.
When it is under or overactive or blocked, it can leave us feeling restless, lethargic, resentful, anxious and panicky, angry, frustrated, or disconnected from ourselves, and possibly the world. This, in turn, can make us feel pessimistic, unsafe and insecure, have low self esteem, or feel like we don’t fit in. Physically, there are many symptoms you may be facing, including insomnia, fatigue, aches and pains, or digestive issues.
Our Root Chakra soap is made with a coconut milk base, and incorporates calendula & Hemp Seed oils with Myrrh, Cedar, Vetiver and Patchouli Essential oils, and ground Ashwagandha and Cinnamon. This blend is warming, soothing, and grounding.
When your Root Chakra opens, you may experience a warm tingling sensation in your lower back, as energy is being moved where it was blocked before, and may gain certain cravings, or a shift in appetite. You may also feel more grounded to the Earth, and your feet may feel heavier as a result.
