- Activated Charcoal: Add this to soaps for a deep pore cleansing exfoliating effect, that is also antibacterial and anti fungal, and helps make skin more smooth and refined. Will make soap black, so no added dyes with charcoal, please.
- Almond Milk: Full of antioxidants that prevent wrinkles and fine lines, almond milk helps protect skin against free radicals. Also helps keep skin nourished smooth, and hydrated.
- Fresh Citrus Rind (lemon, lime, grapefruit, or orange, upon request)
- Dehydrated slices of Apple, Lime, Lemon, Peach & Grapefruit
- Dehydrated Cranberries
- Coffee (and grinds): has anti-wrinkle & anti-aging properties, protects from sunburns, takes care of dark spots under your eyes, is calming, reduces cellulite, and is a cancer combatant. The grinds are a great exfoliant!
- Masa: We use Masa made here in Dover, NH at Vida Tortilla, who gets their corn from various local farms. This corn dough makes an amazing natural exfoliator for your skin while helping it stay hydrated.
- Oats: Oats contain compounds called saponins, which are natural cleansers, and remove dirt and oil that can clog pores. It’s also a treatment for soothing dry and irritated skin.
- Spirulina: this green goddess algae can boost the overall health and radiant appearance of your skin. It also helps prevent acne build up and swelling. Rich in nutrients, vitamins and both fatty and amino acids, Spirulina decreases inflammation, tones the skin and encourages cell turnover.
- Witch Hazel: Relieves skin irritation & inflammation, and is a wonderful skin toner. It also fights break outs and acne, and protects against skin damage.

Besides smelling amazing, essential oils, herbs and natural additives can provide many healthy benefits and treatments for your skin, your body, and your soul.

Allspice: contains many vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds like potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamin C. It has strong anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and antioxidant properties. It can also relieve pain and muscle soreness, swelling. and improve circulation.
Angelica Root: can be used to drain and detox the skin by stimulating blood circulation, and removing harmful toxins. It has high soothing properties, and can help eczema and breakouts. It can also be used to restore the microbial balance of your skin, and makes it feel rejuvenated.


Apricot Seeds: They have gentle and calming exfoliating properties that remove dead skin cells and blackheads. It has anti-inflammatory properties that make it helpful against arthritis, and will relive pain and swelling if used on a regular basis. It also helps makes skin soft and smooth, and can encourage new hair growth if used on your scalp.
Arnica Flowers: This flower is an effective painkiller, and can ease pain associated with sprains, muscle pains, and even dislocated joints and bones. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, and helps wounds heal faster. Can also help patients recovering from surgery.


Bergamot: Has anti-inflammatory, anti-stringent, and antibacterial properties. Can also be used to spot treat acne, blemishes and cycts. Can help ease stress and depression.
Black Pepper: The warming quality of this oil improves circulation. This boosts cell generation and collagen production, which helps decrease the appearance of fine lines. It also allows skin to heal blemishes and bruises more quickly.


Calendula Oil & Flowers: Helps nourish and hydrate the skin, and has antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Helps heal cracked skin and eczema, and reduce redness and inflammation while helping heal.
Camphor: An excellent disinfectant, it can help cure skin diseases, as well as bacterial and fungal infections. This oil is a natural bug repellant, and also has strong anti-inflammatory properties, and helps blood circulation.


Cardamom: has antibacterial properties that helps in healing breakouts, and acts as a skin purifier by clearing out blemishes. It helps in giving you a clearer and evened out complexion. It makes skin even toned and can also improve your skins complexion.
Carnation: It has an anti-inflammatory effect, acts as a muscle relaxant, and helps with hair loss. In addition to these benefits, carnation essential oils can aid in the reduction of wrinkles, helps with eczema, acts as a skin conditioner and helps with instances of rosacea.


Cedarwood: It is a grounding oil, and can be used to promote emotional balance, and an extra boost to mentality before a workout. It also has skin purifying abilities, and can help promote healthy, glowing and blemish-free skin. Cedarwood helps repel insects as well.
Chamomile: It boasts anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help soothe the skin, reducing redness and blemishes. Has antioxidants to help boost skin health, and fade dark spots, and under-eye circles. Also speeds up cell regeneration, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, scars and fine lines. Has a calming and soothing effect.


Cinnamon: It plumpens skin, helping reduce fine lines. It helps with pimples and acne, as well as eczema. It has antiseptic properties. and helps keep woulds bacteria-free while helping to promote faster healing. It helps reduce the signs of aging, and is a wonderful skin exfoliant.
Coffee: It calms and soothes skin and fights inflammation, decreases pigmentation and offers anti-aging benefits. Coffee treats acne, combats dark circles, and helps prevent cancer. The rinds make an excellent exfoliant.


Copaiba: It clears skin and reduces acne and inflammation. It also lowers blood pressure and helps heal infections. It’s aroma is therapeutic, and has a spicy and woodsy aroma.
Eucalyptus: It can help clear sinuses, helps promote healing, boosts mental clarity & combats brain fog, relieves sore muscles and joints, helps fight dandruff & dry skin, soothes insect bites and sunburns, and helps relieve stress.


Fir Needle: has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, and is also an antiseptic. It reduces pain and muscle aches, and reduces fatigue. The fresh, woody and earthy scent is also a stress reliever.
Flax Seed: Flax Seeds are rich in Omega-3’s, which give skin a healthy natural glow. It also helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness, and promote healing. It helps exfoliate the skin, keep it firm, and helps soften fine lines.


Frankincense: Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and is known for beautifying and rejuvenating the skin while promoting cellular health. It scent promotes feelings of satisfaction, peace, relaxation, and overall wellness.
Gardenia: This oil is antibacterial, an antioxidant, it helps control blood pressure and lowers cholesterol. Gardenia also prevents insomnia and alleviates your mood. It fights skin allergies, helps relieve depression, and improves memory power. It helps treat blemishes and skin marks, and is known to be an aphrodisiac.


Geranium: It has antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties, helping with acne, skin inflammations and infections. It’s scent helps with stress, depression and anxiety.
Ginger: a strong, warm and spicy aroma, ginger is anti-inflammatory, helps with nausea, promotes healthy hair growth, has anti-wrinkle properties, and leaves skin smooth.


Grapefruit: Because of the acids in grapefruit, it helps break down dead skin cells, and is a wonderful astringent and chemical exfoliant, and helps give skin a brighter, smoother, and more even-toned look. It also contains lots of Vitamin C, and is a natural antioxidant, skin brightener, and helps produce collagen. The scent is uplifting.
Hazelnut Oil: It’s ideal for sensitive skin because it is a naturally alcohol-free astringent that can help remove bacteria without drying your face. While it cleanses, it shrinks and tightens pores to give a firm toned look and feel. It also boosts collagen production to make it a key component on any anti-aging practice. Along with reducing wrinkles, it can lessen the appearance of scars and dark spots caused by over pigmentation.


Hemp Seed Oil: is a great moisturizer for all skin types, soothes inflammation, helps treat dermatitis, and has anti-aging properties.
Hibiscus: Contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), which helps exfoliate, controls oily skin and unclogs pours. Also helps keep skin moisturized while giving it a firm look, and is full of antioxidants that help protect skin from environmental stressors.

Hyssop: It’s a natural cleanser and great for sensitive skin, and will fortify any cleaning agent it is paired with. Is also reduces large pores and helps minimize oily skin. It fights infection and heals wounds, reduces the appearance of scars, and has great antiseptic and antifungal properties.


Jasmine: It’s a natural antiseptic, and great for dry skin while providing anti-aging benefits. It’s great for sensitive skin, and can help heal scars. It also helps even out skin tone, and promotes sleep. The scent is also a mood uplifter.
Lavender: Fights acne & eczema, helps lighten skin, has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory features, it helps speed up the healing process, and is a natural insect repellent, and helps promote sleep and relieve stress.


Lemon: Rich in Vitamin C and citric acid, it has astringent qualities, which decreases inflammation of the skin, as well as having antimicrobial effects. Also helps lighten skin and hair, and increase collagen.
Lemongrass: It’s a natural remedy to heal wounds and prevent infection. Also effective against many drug-resistant bacteria that may cause skin infections, pneumonia, blood and serious intestinal infections. Using the oil for aromatherapy has similar results as using it internally, and it can help prevent gastric ulcers and prevent nausea, and act as a pain reliever. It also has anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties.


Lilac: The oil protects open wounds from infection, and also promotes the growth of new skin cells. Contains antioxidants that stimulate the healing process, and helps promote healthy skin by tightening cells and having astringent properties helping keep it clear. The smell also helps promote calmness.
Lime: A wonderful astringent, lime oil helps remove free radicals that can damage skin cells, helps reduce thesigns of aging, like fine lines, sun spots and wrinkles. It’s astringent properties also help keep skin firm, and reduces sagging.


Marjoram: It’s scent stimulates salivary glands, which helps improve digestion. It helps reduce the pain felt during muscle tightness and spasms. It is naturally high in antioxidants, which helps improve the cardiovascular system. It has a calming and soothing effect on the mind.
Mint: Contains Vitamin A, which helps strengthen skin tissue and reduces oil production. Also protects against UV damage, is a natural astringent, and slows the signs of aging. Mint helps ease itchy and irritated skin, and it helps reduce stress.


Mugwort: Full of Vitamin E and antioxidants, mugwort is great for sensitive and acne-prone skin. Also has anti-inflammatory properties, and helps reduce red spots, and is also a collagen stimulator.
Myrrh: It promotes a youthful-looking complexion, and offers a soothing sensation for the skin. It also helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles if used daily. It can strengthen and improve nails, and also has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.


Orange: Natural oils help keep skin hydrated, and it has antioxidants that stops signs of premature aging while also slowing down the production of wrinkles. Citric acids help dry out acne and helps exfoliate skin. Very high in Vitamin C, which helps form collagen and elastin. Helps keep skin firm, prevents sagging.
Orchid: Very beneficial for skin, as it contains calcium, magnesium and zinc. It helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, moisturize, soothe, and conditions the skin, and also helps protect against UV damage and environmental stressors. Orchids are wonderfully fragrant, and are uplifting and refreshing.


Palo Santo: This oil has both anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It is also a stress-reliever, and can help clear negative energy and stale emotions. The scent is nurturing and transformative. It helps ease anxiety, and decrease muscle tension.
Patchouli: Helps treat skin conditions like dermatitis, acne, and dry, cracked skin. Also eases symptoms of conditions like colds, headaches, and an upset stomach. It relieves signs of depression, and helps promote relaxation while easing stress. Also helps with dandruff and oily hair, and controlling appetite.


Pine: Known for having uplifting, clarifying and invigorating effects, it helps impacts the mood by relieving stress and energizing the body, to eliminate fatigue, and promoting a positive outlook. Pine soothes itchiness and inflammation and dryness, controls excess perspiration, protects minor abrasions from becoming infected, prevents fungal infections, enhances circulation and slows the signs of aging.
Pomegranate: Often called Natures Power Fruit, it boosts collagen production, enhances skins elasticity, reduces the appearance of scarring, reverses the signs of skin damage, and is hydrating without clogging pores.


Poppy Seeds: The antioxidants and the high amount of linolenic acid in poppy seeds help in maintaining a glowing complexion, while also gently exfoliating. It also has calming effects that can help people sleep.
Rose: It eases pain, decreases anxiety and stress, stimulates the sex drive, eases depressive symptoms. and has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Also a wonderful skin toner.

Sage: Stimulates cell renewal and increases blood circulation. It is rich in Calcium and Vitamin A, and regulates sebum production, which helps minimize oily skin, and also helps reduce acne and dandruff. The oils found in sage have anti-septic, astringent and relaxing properties.


Sandalwood: Helps speed up skin and muscle repair by inducing contractions in soft tissues. It’s anti-inflammatory, as well as antiseptic. The smell promotes mental clarity and cognitive functions, as well as strong calming qualities.
Spearmint: contains a large number of antioxidant qualities that are good for the skin. It helps diminish the appearance of skin imperfections such as wrinkles, dark spots, and discoloration. It makes the skin look youthful and glowing by increasing skin elasticity. Spearmint is also a stress reliever.


Tangerine: Acts as a barrier against the suns rays, has anti-aging properties and reduces fine lines & wrinkles, and improves your skin’s tone. It also promotes the growth of new skin cells, and reduces break-outs. The vitamin C in tangerine promote healthy, glowing skin
Tea Tree: Has germ-fighting properties that helps kill certain bacteria, viruses and fungi. Also helps increase white blood cell counts. Fights acne, is a natural hand sanitizer, and soothes skin inflammation, treats athletes foot, and controls dandruff. Also helps relieve stress.


Tuberose: A natural Aphrodisiac, helping improve blood flow, as well as helping ease anxiety, stress and insomnia. It increases skin health, and is a natural insect repellent.
Turmeric: Loaded with antioxidants, Turmeric oil also has anti-allergic, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic qualities. It can fade blemishes and red marks, and dry-out acne. It softens cracked skin and is a skin rejuvenator, relieving the signs of aging.


Vanilla: Helps treat acne, has anti-aging benefits, promotes healthy skin, and helps treat anxiety and depression.
Vetiver: It has anti-inflammatory properties, and is known for it’s calming ans soothing effects. Helps relieve inflammation in both the circulatory and nervous systems, and helps clear the mind. It also helps improve the immune system.


Wintergreen: it relieves muscle pain, and is also used to kill germs on the skin with it’s antiseptic properties. It contains an aspirin-like chemical that can reduce swelling, inflammation and pain.
Ylang Ylang: The scent boosts self esteem and reduces anxiety, and has also been used as an aphrodisiac. It contains linalool, which has antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.
