Echinacea (or, more commonly known as Purple Coneflower) is not only a beautiful addition to our summer landscape, but it is highly beneficial for our immune system and overall well being, and is a great, natural, herbal remedy to have in your medicine cabinet, especially when cold and flu season hit. We made an Echinacea & Glycerin Immunity Boosting Tincture. It contains vitamin C, beta-carotene, tannins, polysaccharides, and caffeic acid.
It is anti-fungal and antibacterial, and helps keep fungal and bacterial infections at bay. Echinacea increases white blood cells and T-cell activity, which are our first mechanisms of attack against foreign antigens entering our body. It is also full of polysaccharides, which also helps protect our cells from the invasion of bacteria and viruses.
This double Echinacea & Glycerin Immunity Boosting Tincture was lovingly made with Echinacea purpurea flower, leaves and root and Glycerin, making it safe for people of all ages, including children. It is recommended to start using the tincture at the early signs of sickness. If you are using it preventatively, take 1 dropper full daily or every-other day, with water. After 2 weeks, take a 2 week break before adding it back into your daily routine. Always take a break, and do not use for longer than 2 weeks at a time.
For acute symptoms, take 1-1 1/2 droppers full of the tincture with some water once an hour (to not exceed 6 teaspoons daily).
For chronic symptoms, take 1/2 – 1 tsp of the tincture 2-3x a day (not to exceed 3 teaspoons daily). Do this for 2 weeks, then take 2 weeks off. Repeat as often as necessary, always going 2 weeks on, then 2 weeks off.
