Owls are such majestic creatures, and have significant meaning in many cultures across the world. They represent knowledge, wisdom, death, rebirth, and new beginnings, to name a few.
Our friends over at The Center For Wildlife in Cape Neddick, Maine currently house 7 owl ambassadors that have been injured and can no longer survive in the wild, and they care for and help hundreds more throughout the year that are injured. We love everything that they do to help our local ecosystem, and the non-human creatures we share this planet with, and wanted to make a soap to help their cause.
For every The Great Owl Soap you buy here in our online store, we will donate $5 to The Center For Wildlife, to help them continue what they do.
If you happen to catch us at their Holiday Bazaar & Maker’s Market in December, and buy one of these soaps there, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Center.
The Signature Blend we chose for this soap is also one of our Invasive Species blends. We infused Rosa multiflora petals into jojoba oil this past summer from these invasive roses I picked here in New Hampshire, and added that with Calendula oil & flower petals, Oats, and Fir Needle, Neroli, Rosehip and Rose essential oils.
This blend has properties that can possibly stimulate skin cells for generation, is antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, pain-relieving, can brighten the complexion, relieve congestion, and help relieve acne and red spots.
