Cinnamon Coconut Lips…

Yes, please!! Introducing our new lip balm flavor, Cinnamon Coconut! We used a slightly different recipe than the others, and infused Cinnamon with Coconut and Olive oils, instead of the Jojoba and Sweet Almond. This subtle balm warms and soothes, while protecting and nourishing your lips, and keeping them kissable through whatever weather Gaia is throwing our way.

We have also poured another batch of our Coconut Vanilla lip balms, as the first batch sold out, and have added them to the Storefront.

New Tattoo Salve Now Available

Those of you that know me, know I am heavily tattooed. I also have super sensitive skin, which has made life interesting, lol.
I was always looking for a lotion that would keep my tattoo colors vibrant, and help the black line stay heavy and not fade, and decided to make a salve that could incorporate all the above.
Lavender and Chamomile are not just soothing to the senses, but soothing to our ink-infused skin, and are the prime ingredients in this Tattoo Salve.

Beeswax, Lavender and Chamomile flower-infused Hemp Seed, Olive and Sunflower Seed oils, Vitamin E oil, and Lavender and Chamomile Essential oils make this salve anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antiseptic, a disinfectant, and helps deal with symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and tension. The salve has a calming, floral, relaxing and nutty aroma, and should help keep your color more vibrant.

Made in house in very small batches, and are available in a 1oz reusable tin container. Our Storefront will always reflect our current stock.

As someone who has been single for quite some time (and, by the looks of it, WIILL be for quite some time), I see so much of what I call ‘the singles hate’, when it comes to Valentine’s Day, and want to try and change that. It’s a day to celebrate LOVE. What many forget, is that LOVE comes in many forms, and can come from many places, not just a spouse or romantic partner. It comes from family, from friends, and it comes from within.

Hello luscious lips!!

We are so excited to announce that our new Sassy Lip Balms and our Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Brown Sugar Lip Scrubs are now available!! Our lip line is cruelty-free (we do use beeswax and honey), and only made with natural, amazing-for-you ingredients meant to nourish, moisturize and protect your lips against free radicals and the harsh elements, while making them perfectly kissable. You will never find synthetic or fragrance oils, or any chemicals or preservatives in any of our products.
We currently have 4 different lip balm blends, and that will change on a seasonal basis. Custom orders are also available for lip balms, but there is a 5 order minimum.

Our Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Brown Sugar Scrub is a wonderful companion for our lip balms. This scrub is vegan and edible, and made with cinnamon-infused coconut and olive oils, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and both brown and cane sugars. It is absolutely delicious, and makes your lips feel soft, hydrated and kissable.

Protecting Endangered Plants

Back in October, I began my journey to become a Sacred Gaian Herbalist, and enrolled and started a three year Apprenticeship with Jessica at Blackbird’s Daughter Botanicals in Barrington, NH. I realized, my entire life. that I had looked at herbs, roots and plants mostly as culinary, or aesthetic. and never medicinal, and wanted to change that.

When I started making soaps professionally, and bringing these amazing-for-you products to the public, I wanted to do more than just offer healthy, smells-good options for soap and body products. I also wanted to walk through the woods, or any where in nature, and be able to identify the life around me, and know the benefits they may offer, or not. Forge them, in the most respectful way possible, and be able to offer them to you, and the amazing healing power of plants. I wanted to live a cleaner, healthier lifestyle. Not only for myself, but for this planet.

I wanted my products to help, to heal, to comfort, and to nourish the users mind, body and soul. I want to know everything about plants, and the magical ways they help and heal us, so I can bring those amazing healing properties to you.

Through this journey, I quickly became a member of the United Plant Savers. One of the first things they send, is a current list of the At-Risk Plants. As I looked it over, I was sad to see both Sandalwood and White Sage on the list.

And, because of this, and the importance of saving these magical herbs, plants and trees, Sassy Soaps will no longer be offering either of these as ingredient options for any soap or body care products.
If I had been aware of this list before, I never would have started using or offering them, and I highly, HIGHLY encourage you to stop buying and using products with either of these in them. There are many wonderful alternative options for both sandalwood and white sage, and we need to each take action to help preserve these precious beings from being wiped out forever.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the importance of keeping these species on our planet, and not helping contribute to the stealing of these plants and trees from Indigenous lands, so they can be available to the public, is more important than any of our feelings or inconvenience, and I would be happy to discuss other safe and natural alternatives to both of these amazing beings of our planet with any of you, at any time.

It’s the Year of the Skulls!

What can we say, we’re crazy about skulls!! Introducing these new additions to the Sassy Soaps Holiday Soap family. The first photo shows our whopping 8oz Bead Skull Soaps, made with your choice of Black Onyx, Indian Agate or Amazonite crystal beads, a pair that can later be used to make jewelry out of, or added to a charm bracelet, or spell bag.
The next set of skulls is the Trio of Standing Skulls. Each soap is 4 oz, and can be purchased separately, or as a set. Descriptions of each soap can be found both on our website, and storefront.
With Halloween around the corner, it’s never too early to get your order in! These are being added to the Storefront immediately following this post.

A few months ago, Sassy Soaps became a member of the Qumran Records Family, and wanted to be there for Metal Mayhem 2022, a tribute night full of two stages and amazing bands, all in honor of our late friend Eric Wagner, who passed from Covid complications last August.

We are so excited to be making our first Chicagoland appearance this Saturday, August 27th at Brauer House in Lombard, IL. Sassy Soaps will be visiting with our family out there at Qumran Records, and will be selling our sassy stuff and band merch alongside Rena at the merch tables. Limited soaps, beard oils and chem-free bug repellents will be available. Anyone who puts in a custom order in person will receive free shipping on your order as well.
Come say hello, check out these amazing bands playing on two stages, and show your support for local music and small businesses.

We’ve been having fun getting out to the York Farmer’s Market this summer, and are thankful for our new customers, and the people we’ve met! Thanks for stopping by y’all, we appreciate your time, and smiling faces!
Here was our set-up for Saturday, August 20th. We have one more 2022 appearance at the market on Saturday, October 1st. Stop by and see what we are cooking up for Halloween, and the upcoming holiday season.
